What are your thoughts on this personality test? And if you've taken it, what are you?

I am an INFJ/INTJ. I say both because I've taken the test multiple times in my life and gotten them both equally.

For those who don't know much about it, Jung and Myers developed this test to group people into 16 different personality types. It is based on the following premises:

*How people focus their attention or get their energy (Extraversion or Introversion)

*How people perceive or take in information (Sensing or Intuition)

*How people prefer to make decisions (Thinking or Feeling)

*How people orient themselves to the external world (Judgment or Perception)

Studies show that it's roughly 75% accurate. I agree. Do you?

I've taken a few different ones of those. One I remember was DISC (I forget what they all mean) .. my boss came out as a DIC and I mentioned too bad there wasn't a K rating!

There was another one - sounds similar to what you describe, but they use some different words.
But in many cases, it was kind of obvious what many people were if you knew them, and you were given the definition of the Magic Terms.

I think part of the point was to help identify how your personality should interact with other personalities, or if you knew their personality, how you could approach them and successfully influence them to your ideas.

Bahahahahaha!!!! Who hasn't had a boss that was a DIC???

I've heard of the DISC, and I don't remember what they were either. The Myers Briggs seems to me to have the most research, and is spot on in their testing approach.

I agree with your thoughts about it helping you interact with other personalities. I think we could all use some help with that! Lol! I think it's helpful in relation to understanding ourselves better too. I am that infernal WHY kid. I want to know why people do what they do, including myself. I missed my calling in life me thinks. I should have went to college for behavioral psychology.
