So apparently domestic violence towards men is just about as prevalent as it is towards women.
We don't hear about thus, or at least I don't. What I've read is 1 out of 4 men are the victims of domestic violence.

None of my friends have ever in my whole association with them mentioned something like this happening to them.

I was with a woman once and this happened. First, understand I was madly in love with this woman I use the term madly in the literal fashion.
We were in an argument, a drunken argunent, and this b**** snapped. She punched me in and around the face (I s*** you not) like 30 times. Hit me so many times and hurt me to such a point that I hit her back. Open handed but in the ear, you know how bad that can hurt? Immediately she went from raging to crying and shouting "I can't believe you hit me" (I'm serious she said that) and "I'm calling the cops". Needless to say I got the f*** outta there, though she never did call the cops. The kicker to all this is that even though this b**** beat me, like literally beat my face, I felt guilty after hitting her one time.
The double standards on this kinda s*** is unfair. And it's also unfair how women are our equals but we still have to treat them differently.

Still to this day I wouldn't call the police on a woman for hitting me. Which is probably pretty dumb but it would also be embarrassing. Also it might not even be taken seriously.

Has this kinda s*** ever happened to you? What do you think about it what would you do? What did you do? Also do you think maybe feminism is kinda like sexism against men? Or is that just me. Also where is the menism movement?

Also. It's pretty f***ed up that even though she hit me 30ish times and I hit her once when she said I'm gonna call the cops there was no question my mind about who would be getting in trouble over this.

Rule #1 (first day of kindergarten) no hitting.

If someone is hitting you refer to rule #1.

When attacked our choices are:

~ counter attack
~ defend
~ retreat
~ ignor

Counter attack would not be my first choice of actions.

In the circumstance you describe I doubt reasoning would have been an option.

We enter TZ's world of shadow and substance and you are sent back in time and you have the opportunity to change your actions. What would you do?

High school
Alcohol
Heated discussion / argument about something, don't even remember the context, but it wasn't shouting and violent.
She slapped me.
I said Don't
She did again
I said stop it, again.
After the third time or so I warned her that I don't hit girls but I will slap a b****.
She slapped me again.
So I slapped her back - and she was Shocked!!
(and there were a few snickers from the peanut gallery, she had a reputation)

Not quite in the context of domestic violence, but certainly a double standard.

and, btw - I haven't had a reason to slap a b**** since.

These are some of the key reasons why instances of domestic abuse where the man is the victim and the woman is the assailant are grossly under reported. Feminists have succeeded in establishing a strong, virtually unchallenged narrative that insists that whilst women have problems men cause problems. In issues of domestic violence the only narrative that is allowed sees women as victims and men as aggressors. Cue the fraudulant white ribbon campaign.

Turned it into sex. I know a lot more now then I did then.

Counter attack is kinda like a defense isn't it? Anyways I don't think it was wrong to slap her. My guilt for it wasn't wrong either it was just misguided. I should have been feeling guilt more for the situation then the action.

So ...there is an adult who is having a tantrum like a small child (and this can be deeply disturbing) ...but it can (and usually is) also amusing ...because "there is an adult acting like a small child".

When intoxicated we are less inhibited and the child in us that we usually suppress (because of societal constraints) comes out to play. This can be dangerous when all those involved are acting as children would act.

If one person is still thinking and acting as an adult and reasoning (i.e., speaking as an adult talking to an adult) has not worked; maybe addressing the person having the tantrum as you would address a a naughty child might work. If not there is still the shallow unmarked grave option.

The incident was no more than foreplay. Whatever floats your boat....
