Why shouldn't we commit suicide?

I guess you're asking what prohibits us besides Society and its laws.If someone is dying an incurable,painful disease, I see nothing wrong with it. Ultimately, this is something that each person would have to consider for their specific situation.

If you have one or two people who rely on your company each day it would leave them in a really bad way.

If it comes to pass that those who appear to rely on your company are just more head-tricks there isn't any ethical argument against suicide.

There is some ethical concern that the means for someone to put themselves down gently are not allowed to be made available.
This fact also fuels my suspicions.

I think in R. Williams case - anyone he was there for he discovered would be just as content with his $ being there for them.

The guy was hypersensitive - compassionate to a fault and no doubt the people he spent each day of his life with were probably not nearly as philanthropic in attitude or political stance.

This world isn't an enjoyable experience for good people.

If someone has loved ones we shouldn't commit suicide because it hurts others.
if the act doesn't effect others then i guess there's no reason why a person shouldn't commit suicide if that's what they choose to do. If love ones are involved suicide is a very selfish act in my opinion as it can ruin the lives of others with the guilt alone from a feeling of letting that person down.I guess there are social and religious reasons for some also but for me that doesn't come into it.




I would not count escape from an incurable and painful disease as suicide, to me that is euthanasia. Then we would also have to take into account whether it is just physical pain and disease or mental pain also. if it is mental pain as well i'd say the vast majority if not all suicides are euthanasia as anyone committing suicide must be suffering some mental or physical pain to look for such a final escape.

Why shouldn't we commit suicide?

why the society so much pressure on us, society want to do everything is acceptable that we need fit in this society circle.

this society are subject to in school. that we have to fit with our peers and then we are subject to peer pressure. this peer pressure , where most kids feel the urge to commit suicide. of course, some students do commit suicide. some students get help with their problems.

this where the problems could be eliminate for kids. if schools can take this peer pressure on the kids. if school get more education classes or afternoon clubs get kids to equal with each others. of course, schools not cutting back good programs for kids to grow and learn to deal with adult world better. it more wishful thinking by parents, kids, and teachers.

you can said that your life could better, what if scenarios could happen to you. the society and your life could reasons why to commit suicide.

why should you not commit suicide?

i tell you that your life is precious and you have more live than killing yourself.

but the why you never to commit suicide?

just piss off society. the greatest revenge to society that society is stuck with you. and the society have to live with you alive.

You must procreate, raise and prepare the next generation of the species.

Some species evolved to die after bearing a round of many offspring. The offspring are "ready to go" and need no rearing. The death of the elders would save resources for the young.

Humans can give birth over many years, so they live many years.

Species survival.

But an individual HS kid or old man, or anywhere in between ... in the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. But as noted above - the more localized the analysis, the larger the impact.

Finding a reason to live may be the first step to enjoying life and keeping living. There may be times circumstances where a person wants to finish their life. Certain countries and some states in the US allow for assisted suicide. May be if some one is terminal with a disease and does not want to suffer a long drawn out decline, or other similar situations, assisted death may help them. But I think in many situations it is only a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Better counseling and preventative resources and education could help people not to hurt them selves. Numerous telephone hot lines are on 24 hours a day. Also, the Red Cross and other agencies can help even if you have no insurance. The first thing to look at is nutrition and sleep. Lack of either of these things can depress a person.

I agree with you totally, about it being a very selfish act when the person is leaving behind loved ones .

Happy is good. Do you think that happieness is a reason for being? Is unhappiness a reason to end being?

Is it better to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them?

Is it better to die and end the heartaches and thousand natural socks that flesh is heir to?

What dreams may come in that sleep of death?

The second sentence of what I said up there is key. I think that 99% of people who are unhappy, for whatever reason, can get themselves out of that unhappiness if they really put themselves to the task - whether it is simply a matter of changing perspective or whether it involves working several years in changing the situation they are in that causes the unhappiness.

It is only when you are in the other 1%, where you are in a situation where there is zero hope of ever getting out of the suffering that you are in, and this suffering overwhelms, or outright eliminates, all the other joys of life, then, would I say that, yes, unhappiness is a reason to end being.
