I don't know but it's time for America to STOP discrimination of same-sex marriage. Our govt. has no business in people's bedroom..IMO.

Their is more of a belief system behind the idea of gay marriage. I can understand why people don't approve of it. However, I don't think gays need to be punished. I think that's something they need to work out with their own God! We should only judge for human laws that affect others, not moral laws that may necessarily be unfair.

I agree. Leave people to decide who they love - as long as it's consensual & adult.

I'm a Christian.....and I believe the judging should be left up to God!

I know my generation tends to be more liberal. Even the 'uptight Christian ' kids I know, are not afraid to hang out and socialize with a gay person. So, it is getting better. Just slowly. And I think the Supreme court ruling from Wednesday is another step into the direction of equality for ALL.

The pro-life, pro-family and pro-marriage community has been pretty bad making a persuasive case and unfortunately our elected officials and appointed justices are very happy to provide alternatives especially when it keeps them in positions of power.

You mean they've given the voters what they want? Maybe there is reason they can't make a persuasive case; there isn't one.
As for pro-marriage, surely this is pro-marriage too! They should be so happy that gays are allowed to marry now, the pro-marriage brigade should be dancing in the streets.

You won't find the pro family pro marriage pro life movement celebrating anything with gay whatever.

That's a pretty ignorant statement to make unless there is a specific movement called "The Pro-Family, Pro-Marriage, Pro-Life Movement."

Otherwise it is best to remember that all generalizations are false.

All generalizations are generally true. No there is no specific movement called the pro-family pro marriage pro life movement aside from Orthodox Jews and Orthodox Christians. There are other non-religious organizations which often agree, but these are but a smattering on the landscape.

When I was young "generalizations" were called "stereotypes"
and it has been my experience that most of them have NO basis
in reality.

Generalizations cover a lot more than stereotypes.
