It really does not matter if soldering chips onto circuit board it not as easy as pie or if hacking a voting machine isn't glamours or whatever.
The bottom line is simple.
Until the machine has been found to be hacked and whoever is behind the hacking of said machine is busted and stopped, anyone voting on that machine is casting a vote for 'the other guy' .
That is why I said what I did about it giving a voter something uncomfortable to think about.
That is where I'm coming from anyways.
And I totally agree that any man made machine can be hacked.
I know a guy that unplugs his modem every time he powers off his machines, he says that a good hacker isn't after what ever piddly s*** crap the regular Joe has on their machine , but is after as many connections as he can get on a network,in order to be able to hack into something worth while. ( I don't know if it's true or just paranoia )This guy has a half dozen machines on a network just for his own personal use. A real geek.
Your talking about Botnets. If you do a DOS or a DDOS attack on a machine, if you only have one cmputer your not going to do much.
But with something like the Srizbi Notnet which has an estimates 450, 000 zombies(infexted hosts), you are going to stop service. It wa this sort of attack that bought Amazon crashing down.
Scarey thing is they are not that complicated to make. They are just not worth spending your life in a cell though, in my eyes.
I gave up my hacking ways many years ago. Once you get a bit older you realise that it just aint worth it.
