Freaking...
February 09, 2013 @ 07:49:18 am
I was finally able to move to a different seat far from the most annoying person in the world but he still gets up and walks to me before class EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

So the thing that drove me to my limits was that he farts at least three times a day, and I was sitting directly behind him so I got the full force of the nastiness. Not only that, but his personality and the stuff he says pisses me off (as I've ranted about in a previous journal post). I thought I was finally free, but NO! When I walk into class and put my stuff down and everything, he walks on over to my desk and tells me s*** I don't give a rat's a** about! It's always about a new videogame he bought that I never heard of. I like videogames, but if I've never heard of it before, I don't care! Oh, you bought two new games over the weekend again, just like you do every freaking weekend? I. DON'T. CARE. And when I try to tell him something that doesn't interest him, he responds with "cool story bro" or sasses me. AND the few times I asked him how to solve a problem, he'd either respond with "I don't know" or "I gave up on it", and when he does know how to do it and shows me, I can't read his freaking hand writing! So because I asked him for solutions a couple of times, he thinks he's smarter than me. One time he actually said, "What would you do without me?" in a really condescending tone after I asked him for a solution to a problem. After that I stopped asking him completely. But he still always asks if I need help on anything. Usually, that's a considerate thing to say, but with him he only offers help to boost his ego, and I will NOT let him have that. Another thing that really pissed me off is the fact that he gets to bother me every day and it's fine, but when I go to my own friend's seat a few times a week, I'm "obsessed with her" -_- Here's what happened today:

*I'm going to call my friend Sammy for anonymity's sake

Sammy is in three of my classes - math, government, and English, and when we have questions about work from other classes, we ask each other. Last night I completely forgot to do gov homework (I wasn't even sure what the assignment was because the teacher isn't very clear when he explains assignments). As the guy was walking to my desk, I ran over to Sammy (half of the reason being I didn't want to talk to the guy, the other half was because I legitimately needed to know what we were supposed to do/if we needed to turn anything in). As we were discussing gov, he comes over to us and goes, "You're like obsessed with Sammy" in a really sassy tone. The guy sitting behind Sammy heard it and even he made a "dafuq?" face. b**** we were having a serious conversation! And what's wrong with talking to my friend? Sammy and I actually talk outside of class all the time and text each other. The only thing that happens between your farty a** and me is you bothering the hell out of me before class. It's gotten to the point where I try to get to class barely before the bell rings so I don't have to talk to him.

Next time he pisses me off I'm not going to take it like a b**** anymore. Honestly, I want to be nice to him but this is driving me crazy. During December I got really sick because I got so stressed out by him. Call me nerdy, but I actually enjoy school and learning. However, he's making me dread walking into that class. I wish I had transferred to a different period, but now it's too late into the year

Ignore him, he'll eventually go away.

I don't believe 70% of the curriculum the schools teach however you still need the grades on record for future benefit and no matter what class you're in you're more likely still exercising Grammar and comprehension skills which are the most necessary aside from math.

It makes me wonder if the government plants these idiots in schools as distraction to other kids to keep the number of desperate factory hands available.

He's very persistent. I've been kinda cold to him lately trying to make him lose interest in talking to me, but he still doesn't leave me alone! I feel like it actually got worse than before...And it's very hard to ignore him when he's like two inches away from me.

That's actually a very plausible theory...I guess there are too many doctors and lawyers in the world today.

Ask the teacher to move you to a different desk.

I actually did move to a different desk far away from him (twice). He walks over to me before the bell rings and starts bothering me so the desk location doesn't matter much. The only good thing is that I'm no longer exposed to his toxic bio-waste.

Public school systems really are not all that great.

Sounds like you're just about out of high school but when I was still in school it wasn't always the other kids serving as a hurdle - Sometimes it was the strange half-assed teachers themselves.

Serves good example of the world's anthem however: Extremely slow progress because the clever are forever impeded by the stupid.

Just wait until you're out there in the world, there are all sorts of morons whom you will have work with, for and buy from who are extremely crafty when it comes to wasting people's precious time.

If I could go back and collect reimbursement for all of the time and money that got wasted on me throughout life, my partner and I could retire right now.

Not really plausible, while the government may well need to keep kids in schools to make the education system look successful, this is a step too far in my opinon. To deliberately sabotage the education of a lot of kids just so they are able to work menial jobs is nonsensical

Back on topic though, to me it sounds like this boy has a thing for you and is going about it the only way he knows how. He maybe would like to develop the friendship and become more of a boyfriend- the 'your obsessed with Sammy' comment does very much sound like that to me. Just a thought, but if is is still emotionally immature then it could be puling a girls pigtails back in primary school

lol I was only joking when I said it's a plausible option, don't worry.

People said that on my other journal entry as well. At the time I didn't even think of that as an option, but I recently started having a dreadful feeling it might be true. I told him I have a boyfriend, though, and he still isn't leaving me alone so I'm not sure anymore...

thats a huge relief!

If others have thought it too, then it is indeed a distinct possibility! Men/boys can be very persuasive with affairs of the heart and do not always take a boyfriend to be off-putting. To some it is a challenge to 'get the girl' despite protestations of having a boyfriend

From now on, whenever he starts talking, slowly close your eyes and start snoring. Even if he shakes you, say's "stop messsing around" - continue to do so. Every. Time. (and not another word. Ever. )
Until he takes the hint.

I think he's like that to others as well, though, so I don't really want to jump to hasty conclusions :/
