**I know I rant a LOT on TFS, and I apologize for being so negative most of the time. It's just that this is the only place I actually feel safe posting this stuff because no one I know uses it. Trust me, I'm usually much more positive and less b****y. I hate that every year, in at least one of my classes, there's that one guy who bothers me so much I can't perform as well as I could. This is my last year of high school. I should be enjoying every minute of it, but this kid is driving me insane! Every freaking day he bothers me while I'm working to repeat an old meme or joke everyone's already seen before online. He burps in the middle of class because he thinks it's funny when it's really just gross. He thinks he's so much smarter than me when he wouldn't even be passing the class without his tutor spoon-feeding everything to him after school. In fact, even with the help of his tutor, his grades aren't much better than mine! But for some strange reason, he always treats me like I'm retarded. He hovers over my desk when there's free time and I'm trying to get homework done so he can stare at what I'm doing. He says he wants to help but it's just annoying. He makes me feel uncomfortable and unable to concentrate when he breathes over my shoulder, so when I politely ask him to not do that, he steps back two inches and says, "I'm not hovering over you. I'm just seeing if you need help" and then continues to stare at my papers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't standing over my desk and making me uncomfortable to the point where I can't work the complete opposite of "helping" me?
Another thing that pisses me off so bad about him is that when I brought a bag of gifts for my friends to school, he stared into the bag expectantly (I didn't get anything for him). It was pretty obvious he wanted something from me, so I told him I'd give him something tomorrow because I couldn't bring everything that day, which satisfied him. So that night I made a little goody-bag with some candy (I know, I'm too passive). When I gave him that bag during class, he dumped everything out on his desk while we were supposed to be studying for finals, organized them, and proceeded to eat every single piece of candy. In my head I was thinking, "dude you don't need to eat all of them now" but it gave me an opportunity to actually work so I chose to leave him be. Then I saw him put a piece of candy in his mouth for about a second and then spit it back out into the bag. That kinda pissed me off but I still didn't say anything. However, what happened a few minutes later made me want to slap him. Thank goodness for self-control!
The drama department at my school sells grams during holiday seasons. The grams come with a card and some sort of treat. For example, the Halloween grams came with a photo of the drama teacher's dog dressed up (it's become the mascot of the drama department) and a lollipop. For Christmas, it was a card with small candy-canes attached to it. The grams get passed out to the receivers during fourth period.
I have class with said annoying kid fourth period. When I received a gram, he got excited when he saw the candy canes and started making the "gimme some" hand motions at me saying, "oh my god candy canes! I want some!" b**** I JUST GAVE YOU A WHOLE BAG OF CANDY. There were some peppermint drops in there, too! They're the same freaking thing, just different shapes, and you ATE THEM! When I told him, "Didn't I just give you a bag of candy?" he says, "Yeah, but I didn't get any candy canes". That made me want to punch him...I'm not a stingy person, and if it was anyone else in a different situation I would have happily shared. It's just candy I could buy in bulk for a dollar at CVS. However, he pissed me off so bad I didn't say anything for the rest of class and put it away. I try to be nice to everyone, no matter how badly they make me angry, but I have my limits.
I would switch seats to get away from him but I already did that earlier in the year (didn't go far enough). Plus, the class is pretty full so the only available seats are near the back, and I have trouble seeing the board if I sit too far. I hint to him that I don't want to talk to him but he doesn't get it, no matter how obvious it is! At first I didn't want to go off to college because I don't want to leave my friends (I've known most of my friends since elementary school and we're really close) but he makes me more and more excited to leave high school every day. |
