But for the record about an afterlife:

Back in my late teens I used to frequent an arcade in town and had a few people there who got to know me pretty well.

One of my younger friends stopped by my house one day while my niece and I were kicking around and wanted to demonstrate a trippy mind trick he had learned.

I can't recall the full exercise but it involved me leaning over, breathing a certain way and then standing up quickly and either exhaling or taking a deep breath.

Looking back now it seemed to trigger a temporary brain impairment involving either a rush of too much or lack of oxygen but I'm pretty sure I went brain dead for half a minute.

During the time I blacked out, I couldn't necessarily see but could hear the machines in that local arcade as if I was actually right there in that arcade at that moment.

Taking a guess at what happened, someone from the arcade, who knew me, built a strong enough affinity for me to synchronize with me so when my body was temporarily impaired, I immediately wound up in theirs.

Take it for what you will but that's the closet near-death experience that I've had.
