If you are doing wage negotiations, you seem to me moving in the wrong direction.

and it is really impossible to accurately answer that (or any of your other questions) with the information provided.

It depends on your standard of living and what you want out of life. Also in the long run is there chance of promotion and pay rise if you assert yourself enough.

What sort of housing are you looking at, how much does that cost?

Do have/want/need a car, can you afford a car that you like and insurance for it on this wage?

Are you planning on having a family in the future?

Do you have any debts?

Also can you find a job that pays better? Thats the main one.

All of these things.

But, my household doesn't net that much in a month and there are three of us so I'd say yes, that's decent for one person.

To be honest as long as you can leave on your means it is enough. If you are not satisfied with the standard of life you can afford, maybe aqquire new skills and look for new work.

A lot depends on the area. In places like D.C. NYC, and LA that is a liveable wage, but the high cost of living in those areas there is not likely to be a lot of cash left after living expenses.

In a place around where I live that is a very good income that would provide a very comfortable lifestyle.

The U.S. is a big place and living expenses vary greatly. For example, the average housing unit in DC runs over $500,000. In my city the average home is under $60,000 and you can get a very nice home for under $150,000.

No. You need to make at least $50,000 a MONTH in income to even survive as a single person.

And that's in the cheap places. If you want to live any place decent you need to make at least $150,000/month.
