Give me a break!

This s*** is so ridiculous. It really bothers me when men will say/do anything to make child birth seem like "no big deal."

Idk why but that is one of my biggest pet peeves!!
Ugh!

9000 del of pain my ass... "A human body can bear only up to 45 del (unit) of pain. But at the time of giving birth, a woman feels up to 57 del (unit) of pain. This is similar to twenty bones getting fractured at a time."

And speaking to a nurse that I know, she says "units of pain" are complete BS. Everyone's pain threshold is different.

Well women often go on to have a second kid... men don't ask to get kicked in the nuts again... just throwing that out there

Years ago I tore my ACL playing sports.

Sometime later a female friend tore her ACL playing sports. She asked if I cried. I said, "no" but it was the worst pain I had ever felt in my life (note: people heard the "pop" on the sidelines).

She agreed that the tearing of the ACL was severe.

So, I asked "OK you have had natural child birth (i.e. with no meds) and you have now torn your ACL. Which one is worse?"

She said, "Instantaneous pain... tearing the ACL. Drawn out agony... natural child birth."

Being a male I will never know the truth, but my friends answer made sense to me.

This is like the female orgasm. Neither sex can fully understand the level of sensation of the other. So just leave it rather than go into a "battle of the sexes" war over it.

That being said, the term was more in reference to the pain of being kicked in the nuts than a downplaying of the pain of childbirth.

There is a way for a guy to know what child birth is like...

Jump crotch first onto a metal pull up bar from about 2 stores up.

Ah yes...the separation of the midline cartilaginous joint uniting the superior rami of the left and right pubic bones...good times...good times.

I hate to piss in your cornflakes but I must. According to FEMALE urologists that have given birth as well as pass a kidney stone the later is worse and IS akin to having a baby. Remember .... I didn't say it... females did. Maybe some mothers that have had both would care to comment.

That said, I have had a kidney stone and had my nutz crushed because of a bike chain slipping and to be perfectly frank I would rather have another stone despite how incredibly long and painful it was as I was passing it. Me nutz are tender and that chain slippage was some serious pain.

Have you done both? If so, are they comparable?

What is an ACL?

anterior cruciate ligament... inside the knee... kind of holds the knee in place... it is one of the most common ligaments to get injured in sports, especially football (both american and "soccer" )...

Yes that is hideous. Far worse than such pain of being elbowed in the face or such like

I always think it strange when the two get compared with each other, Does it really matter which is worse? The point is that they both hurt.

I hate to sour your prune juice but I wasn't trying to be at all serious. If I look at my kudos tab someone thought it was fun...someone special. ( I kudo you to ) Good enough for me.
