What exactly does it do? I know they're really bad, but what happens if your computer gets infected?

Luckily I have good security software which blocked it, but it just made me think! So are they sent to you? Or is it sites you visit or what?

well...what i think happens is that it comes onto ur computer disguised as sumthin that a pic or email. Then it sets going at re-writing the files to ur computer...what eventually happens is ur computer just shuts down.
im not sure if thats the true answer but its sumthin lik that...

heres an awesome website for an incredible virus scanner! i used this once and it found 800 virus's (but that included spyware and little little things that a regular virus scanner cant find)
and usually if it finds a Trojan it erases it from your computer making it as good as new

I was tempted by norton, but McAfee was on offer and I was told it was as good, so I went with that, it worked earlier for me, so gives me faith in it! 8)

Everything you wanted to now about Trojan Horse and more. It's a good idea to read this and not browse through it.

Is there a big difference between that and McAfee? I mean it stopped it, but I just wondered exactly how it would have f***ed up my compy?!

I have the Norton 2005, and it works great. I'm not a big beleiver in Mcafee products. I bought a Mcafee spamkiller program and it hardly works.
