That's what I'm talking about,..keep the government out of it,...let the individual provide the assistance....it works out better

trickle down my fellow man, fed govt is only there to protect your country's border and you civil liberties. not shell out money bc you decided you wanted to live in the paths of hurricanes and tornadoes.

Like I said, it sounds nice in theory, but it would be massively resisted by insurance companies in practice. Some form of state assistance is more practical.

If regulated right I think it would work... And f*** insurance companies trying to fight it... They have taken advantage of the system for far too long. How is spending a billion dollars every year more practical than spending 2-3 billion in one year to set up some regulations and not have to spend anymore on it in the future?

@crazylikeafox Said

I can see that working, but at the same time that could easily be taken advantage of. I'd imagine part of the agreement for would be that if it turns out you're guilty of insurance fraud, you have to pay them back for the hotel and anything else the insurance company had to pay for.

Agreed... I'm not claiming to have all the answers, and there would have to be tons of loopholes that were closed before the final draft... But I think its a good idea.
