I'm 17 and have been struggling to cope with living with my strict parents. I feel my only option is to just walk out, I know what I have to do. I just have a few questions.

I will be moving to my home town, Worcestershire, where I have food and shelter and other needs able to be provided for.

will the police or my parents be able to make me stay in Dorset, just because of my age?
Who shall I contact for support?

Is this the second post on this subject?

Once you are 18 you can do as you like, but you are still under age, so the police and your parents can get you back, if they havent given you permission.

I have just done a bit of research, and yes you can move out. Sorry I thought it was 18.

Grass isn't always greener, so be sure you keep a good relationship with your parents in case things don't work out and you want to return home.

From what I just read online, it appears as though you are allowed to move out at 17 without the consent of your parents BUT if you try to rent a flat, you can't legally sign a lease or enter into any contracts and the landlord will need someone to guarantee for you the lease.
