Love has to be real or it is not love.

How can love exist if we just happened?

If we just happened then is love just an illusion?

Or is love real therefore God must be real?

Maybe I am just a hopeless romantic ... I dunno ...what do y'all think?

Even if you ever enter Abe's 'Vortex' make sure your doing so in a non-hostile environment or else you're going to get b**** slapped out of it.

Love for myself is great I do admit but it's still s***ty to be the only one left alive after, say for example, a nuclear destruction - my love for myself would only carry me so far before loneliness and boredom set in.

There are very very few people in the world you can trust to be with you for genuine reasons. Most people around our world are too mentally f***ed to be of much use.

Unless you were born to a healthy sized family in the good part of town get ready for a long and lonely ride.

Hang tight to your family, man.

There are different types of love. But I believe love is a choice either way.
Types of Love

Exactly what is this thing called love? Since it is a very broad term, the ancient Greeks managed to define what-is-love and there are four types: agape, eros, philia and storge.

•Agape is unconditional love with a deeper sense of "true love". Example: Giving others your precious resources for loving support without an expectation in return.

•Eros is passionate love. It is mostly sexual but can also be passion for anything, such as car hobbies.

•Philia is displaying love through loyalty to friends, family and community, usually by sharing resources and expecting something in return.

•Storge is natural affection that is often felt by a person for related family members.

Agape is considered the purest form of love. You can love almost anyone with agape. You need to learn to love yourself first, then it is easier to give to others with true love.

Love is just a trait we evolved. If you love someone you are protective of them and try not to let anything bad happen to them. You love your mate because they produce your offspring and carry on your genetic information. It preserves the species.

This perfectly describes me Moochi

I think that I'm pretty much Eros.

Man sitting at home on the porch with his wife and he says "I love you." She says" Is that you or the beer talking?" He says it's me talking to the beer.

You make the one point that I have tried to make many times. Love is, indeed, a matter of choice. We can, and in fact do, choose who we fall in love with. We may not make that choice consciously, but we do so because of what we look for in people, as well as by the way we ourselves dress or act. As the old saying goes, "if you bait your hook for pike, don't expect to catch a salmon".

From my experience my coupling was because all other options were blocked off and tracks were layed in this direction.

Not complaining though because the personality type that I wound up with is about the only personality type that can tolerate me.

But how much was that "track laying" down to the way you dress, look or act (I include speech in with action in the context)? Or come to that, down to the peer group you chose to associate with?

I don't judge people by their apparel. I know the Witnesses tend to promote sharp dress as healthy living but I personally think that the fancier the pelt you wear the more of a cut throat and professional hunter you had to be.

The Christian's avatar is always depicted as a humble, non-conformist who felt it more impacting to get his message across more so through tact than appearance.

I mean, if he were running around here in 2011 dressed like that the cops would always be harassing and patting him down for weed.

This is also one of the red flags that I found in the Jehova faith.

I'm more than happy to hear out a poor bum on the streets even if all he could afford to wear was a G-string and nipple tassels - certainly even he has learned something worth passing on.

As always you have a slightly distorted view. The dress code only applies to meetings and on the ministry, and that code is "apparel acceptable to the business community". It has nothing to do with healthy living, but is purely a mark of respect both for God, and for those to whom they speak.

You may not "judge a book by it's cover" but I can assure you that most people do, and JW's cannot adapt for every individual, it is simply impossible, so they go by what the majority accept.

They have to maintain a certain level of respect for the feelings of others or they would not be living up to the Christian principle of showing love for all where possible.

Again you may not see it that way, but if you don't, do you truly understand what love and respect are? or what they entail?

But more so to answer your question neither I or my partner dress too fancy - just what is the most affordable to wear - For the most part our Idealism's and principles are in tune and that is the main attraction.

I wear what's comfortable when I'm out which happens to be sandals, black fingerless freezer mitts, shorts and black jacket.

I often times look like "That strange mad inventor" in the neighborhood.

I know all too well most woman that I pass by would only take a second glance if I was wearing something way out of my budget that I would feel awkward in.

Besides, if I were single and searching, I would want to be approached while looking my nastiest because I can only look better for her from there on out and it would prove to me that what brought her over was that she saw me.

Also commonly demonstrated by my partner she is very quick to humor the weird quirks of others.

To a point I do believe it to be more honestly invested in the hearts of others to step down from any personal stand or demonstration to humor them.

But on the flip side most of the problem with the world is scrutiny and judgement which leads to disdain, estrangement and discrimination.

By continuing to pamper society around you in order to humor them it continues them to be lazy, complacent and never bother themselves to ever try to look for other reasons as to why someone is respectable, genuine or good.

People need to start practicing looking harder for the 'nice' in others.

Because far too often they take everyone around them for granite and less than them.
