I am facing this problem and the only way we have been able to fix it is disconnecting your phone and not having a home phone. We don't even use it and no one called us that was important. All of our relatives call our cell phones if they need us. Why not use your cell as your home phone? I have only been solicited through text on there. But thats easy, you just block them. I wish u luck and wish i could be more help.

I used to until I dropped the landline and bought a cell phone. Now I just get calls I want so far.

After you have been on the list for 31 days, if the calls still continue, report them here:
https://www.donotcall.gov/

I would tell them first that you are on the list, and if it continues that you will report them. Give the benefit of the doubt. At least initially.

Yes...it happens. There was a big outcry about people calling homes to sell this or that. The government set up the 'don't call list' like you have. It seems that the lists of 'don't call people' were sold to different companies. It was quite a big blowup. I get more calls then ever. What you do when they call?.....say "can you hold on for a moment?" Place the phone down and go back to whatever you were doing. Dinner, television show........etc. When you are done doing what you're doing...go back to the phone. Once there was a solicitor on the phone for over an hour!!!! There are some fun things you can do but the simple fact that they call is really a pain!!! Good luck!
