That's only a pound a week..So yeah it is possible to do it in a healthy way even.
Thank you!

Here's what I've done to lose 40 lbs in 2 years. Just a little under ½ lb per week (very manageable.
1. I stopped drinking sugar flavored soft drinks.
2. I stopped eating Fast Food
3. I stopped eating "processed" food
4. I park my car (when shopping) closest to the exit (usually the furthest from the entrance to the store).
5. I eat more vegetables now days.
6. I've reduced my portions very little
It takes a "want to" attitude to do it. You have to really want to get healthy. Check yourself when you get an urge to munch. Ask yourself, "Am I hungry?" If the answer is "No" then check to see what's motivating you to use food for comfort. Be your own coach. Remember this IS for your health. You can do it!

These are measurable and specific things to do! But I think it will be easier if I work with a team!

If you find it is hard to motivate yourself to exercise find a partner to pair up with that way you can go out together and motivate each other. You can look on local forums and craigslist to find someone. Also a huge help is staying away from food before bed, that packs on extra pounds fast, when I cut out eating after 8pm I lost 50lbs in 6months, my biggest issue with weight was eating at night, each person is different though and your issue may be very different from mine. The main focus is your goal, if it is very important to you and you are excited about it you will accomplish it! Enjoy, it can be very life changing!
I totally agree with the idea of finding a partner! I would have loved to do that with my boyfriend, but he is ok!
He is thin and dandy! My best friend is very skinny, she actually needs to gain weight, so that sucks too!
