Define your terms. Freedom from or Freedom to ? This is too random.

I've lived in both the UK and the US.

I wouldn't say there is much in it.

I guess there's more freedom in the US if you mean freedom to go bankrupt due to medical bills? (in the UK we have publicly funded healthcare)

Or freedom to pay for essential services like trash collection? (in the UK, it's all factored into taxes)

But if you mean freedom of movement, freedom to protest, etc... there's nothing in it really. Oh, except the carrying guns issue, that is. But I preferred my freedom to not be surrounded by gun-toting lunatics.

I was born in Derry which is in the British ruled portion of Ireland. The people there are not allowed to vote for either the Labour Party who are now in power in the Westmister Parliament which governs that part of Ireland or the Conservative Party which are the official opposition in parliament.

If you not even free to even vote for either of the two parties that are going to govern you what sort of freedom do these people have.

How would the people in America like that to be the situation you live in. WOuld you think you had freedom?

When you've stayed in Singapore... there wouldn't be a question of whether there is more freedom in the UK or in the US!
