Really...?
Wow... you've bumped an 8 year old thread just to say three words..?
If feminism is a cancer, then I've had it for more than 20 years and I'm still here.
In a world where a 16 year old slip of a girl with Aspergers Syndrome can become a global symbol of opposition to the causes of climate change brought by men then I'd say the empowerment of women has progressed since Kirsty posted her bulls*** back in 2011.
Where is she now, then, anyway..? Probably cooking her latest husband's dinner while coping with her seventh or eight pregnancy. It's even possible all her kids might have the same father..!!
But that's not fair of me. My bad. (slaps own wrist). She's disappeared off the TFS plot and isn't here to defend herself. Not that she was very good at that anyway.
Me..? I'm doing fine with MY family. I've done the 'Domestic Goddess' thing since 2012 and it's been an experience but I'm going back to work in the new year. A new career and a fresh start after having the previous career.... the one I loved and worked so hard to become established in before men took it away from me.
The Kirsty's of this world are always with us, propping up the faltering male hegemony with their submission to and acceptance of their place at their husband's feet. Oh, they take the benefits that feminism has brought about for them but they despise those who fought for them and the struggle that attained them. Women, eh..? Tsk.
Feminism is cancer..? No. Feminism is progress. Feminism is freedom from male domination. Feminism is justice. Feminism is empowerment.
Feminism aint going away until we get what we ultimately want.
Equality.
