Okay, at first, I thought it was a joke. I have been hearing Trump talk about running, and I thought, are you serious?
The more I listen to him, the more sense it makes. He is not really conservative, not is he really democrat.
One thing we know is, he is a successful businessman.Who better to run this country than a successful businessman?
I think I will vote for him. What are your thoughts?

What he says does sound real good .
Quote:
He drew big cheers from the audience by stating that he is pro-life, against gun control, will "fight to end Obamacare and replace it," and will not raise taxes. Furthermore, he said to more cheers, he would stop the country from "taking in hundreds of billions of dollars from other countries that are screwing us."

But until he comes out with an outline on how he intends to do what he says he'll do . It's just a individual standing in front of a crowd making words.
The fact that his Casino Company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and not Chapter 7 , says alot about his character .IMO

I'm sure as a successful business man he would try to maximize revenue to the government by raising taxes in the same way a business owner would try to maximize their sales.

Why would you give up the business entirely when it's possible to restructure your debt and keep the business open? Chapter 7 only makes sense in extreme cases. It's not like this is personal debt where there's nothing to gain by paying back the loans.

The not raising taxes is the only part of his speech that i have questions about . I thought along the same lines as you posted when I read the article .
I did some reading about his Casino Companies and the Chapter 11 bankruptcy deal .

How Does Trump repeatedly file for Bankruptcy and still stay on top?

https://www.legalzoom.com/legal-headlines/celebrity-lawsuits/how-does-trump-repeatedly-file
And then went and read about the difference between Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy .
What I mean about it tells alot about his character is he didn't just 'cut and run' but stuck with it until his debts were paid. He didn't take the easy way out.

Quote:
Chapter 11 is probably the most flexible of all the chapters, and as such, it is the hardest to generalize about. Its flexibility makes it generally more expensive to the debtor. The rate of successful Chapter 11 reorganizations is depressingly low, sometimes estimated at 10% or less.

I should have mentioned that if he were to run for the office of president he's got my vote.

Trump said a lot of things I like but people voted Obama in for that same thing and look what happened. Screw 'em both.

Comparing Obama and Trump is like comparing apples and oranges IMO.
One is a career politician and the other is a self made billionaire . Trump has proven he can turn a profit . He has been managing his own billions for decades. I'd give him a chance to manage the countries money , hell the worse case scenario is ,'it couldn't get much worse then what the pollution's have been doing to us for decades ' ya know?

Just don't let him redecorate the white house.

Have you ever been in one of his buildings? They're HIDEOUS.

NEVER! I truly dislike Trump and just because you're a successful businessman doesn't mean you know s*** about government.

I've seen our economy go down as more people from the private sector who think they know how to run government come in and ruin things instead.

Being successful at making money does not equate to running a country.

I was reading the comments section on a site that is about this topic, this one person had only one complaint about Trumps bid for president , and that was his hair style. The person said something like , Heck no , he can't be president. He can't even get a decent hair style.

I am really impressed with what I am seeing. Most of us are always divided by a candidate because of his/her political views, but we seem to more open minded by a non=political businessman.
I can't even imagine that I am leaning towards Donal Trump myself. I too can't stand his hair style, his funny shaped mouth and his beady eyes, but something is telling me, this country needs to be run as a business. I personally think the USA needs this right now. We need to become profitable.
As for as foreign matters, civil matters, etc, he can " hire" the best people for the job and if it they are doing their job, he can tell them " You're Fired".
Thanks for posting your thoughts and I will remain open minded and continue to read the views and links posted to draw a better conclusion.

Donald Trump is a very bizarre, egotistical and uncharitable man whose only ambitions are for his own career and the careers of his inheritors. A good businessman does not a good politician make.

Business leaders only want to appear apolitical because it's bad for business if they alienate part of their market by expressing a commitment to certain political ideals. Of course, most of them are economic libertarians, naturally, putting them at the right side of the spectrum in America.

Donald has all that money behind him too if he DOES actually run for president and that would help him out alot...I don't know if I would vote for the guy though. More research is needed on him.
