Because many people with a very left of center view do not agree with her politics and traditional views. They are concerned that Sarah Palin has risen in popularity with many Repbulicans and conservatives who share many (perhaps not all) of her views and the political direction in which she wants to take the country.
Ms. Palin is a political force and this drives Progressives and Far Left ideologues absolutely crazy. She is considered the worst of the worst by them. She did not attend the proper schools in their opinion; she does not keep the proper company, politically, even among Republicans; she hunts; she is a pro-life supporter; she is a member of the recently founded Tea Party and she believes in a strong military. There are more issues than this, though.
Ms Palin is far from an idiot. Her positions and speeches do what she intends and that is to show the positions of Progressives, get a reaction from them, all of which tends to solidify center, center-right and right side voters to drift further from Far Left activists and ideolgues. Her voice is irritating, though. She needs to work on that. Too high an octave.
Nope, I'm middle ground all the way and, for the most part I think that any one that far to the left or right are all idiots.
I thought long and hard about this election, and McCain almost had my vote because he was middle ground, but then, when he really started running, he was a republican through and through, and although I am very much middle ground, I would rather a socially conscious (imo) candidate (and my view of socially conscious leans to the left) which is why in the long run Obama got my vote.
It's been my experience that every time I've heard a republican say that, they mean lower taxes to everyone making as low as 150,000 per year (still upper middle class) and raise taxes to the average middle class and cut all funding to those who really need it (the poor). All while destroying the economy because there is literally zero money going towards the deficit.
