Recently I just found out I'm seven weeks along with a child I didn't even know I was carrying. It explained the loss of appetite, but huge hunger and the sleepiness and headaches. Telling my mom was easy and so was telling my boyfriend who I've been with for almost a year. But telling my dad is the scary part. I'm not afraid of him yelling at me or lecturing me on how I've shortened my childhood, I'm afraid of him not saying anything at all... I'm going to tell him this Friday, but I'm praying to God that he says something. It would kill me if he said nothing at all... | |

Moderator | he probably wont be over the moon, but men tend to need time to get used to some things, most of all the fact that their daughters wont be virgins forever. So whatever his initial reaction, give him some time. |

Just me.
| Dads usually don't say alot with news like that. Like Treebee said, give him time. And congradulations on the little one. |

| My dad would be my biggest worry too.
We're under some financial stress right now so it's not the best time.
Congrats anyway.
Idk if you're religious or not, but everything happens for a reason.
You'll find a blessing out of this garbage dump of a situation. |

I am religious and I do believe things happen for a reason. God only gives you what you can handle and if he thinks I can handle a baby, then I will do my best to prove him right. thank you so much for the congrats ^_^ |

| @tickyette Said No problem hon.
you'r right, I was always told;
"God will never give you an obstacle He doesn't think you are capable of overcoming."
Honestly, if you ever need an ear or just someone to talk to I'm here.
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you and your bf been going out?
I've been with mine 9 months tomorrow and I've already had a baby scare. (it was horrible and I can't imagine how I'd feel if the tests were to come up positive)
Keep your head up, Buttercup!
Today is actually our one year anniversary. I found out I was nine weeks along just recently. Thank you so much, you're really great. It is pretty scary. I told my dad a couple days ago and he told his entire family within minutes. The only thing they did was make me fear the child birth lol. thank you though, I can't even talk to my friend about it because she terrifies me with everything she's terrified of having to do with babies.
Again, thanks. |

I'd be 3000 miles away in California and have my mom tell him. |
