Not knowing much about UK politics, it seems this is more like martial law with her.

She's very Christian and takes the whole anti-gay thing quite seriously.

No idea why she has become minister for equality, it's a huge and weird anomaly, probably given to her as she is one of two Conservative females and the role looks better with a woman.

This poster is a provisional one made on behalf of the Labour party, not been released yet.

Wait, there's a different age of consent for gay couples? What the f***?

I posted a thread about this the other day. Seems like the worst job appointment ever.

It was 18, but the Labour government put it down to 16, about half the Tories and a few Lib Dems voted against it but all the Labour MP's voted for it so it passed. 16 now like heteros.

Thought it was lowered from 21 to 18?

Maybe it was 21 to 16, but it's definitely 16 now.

They had to use the Parliament Act to do it to, from what I've just read, otherwise it would still be at 18.

I just realized now what some of mentioned since my last post, the age for homosexual consent age and how she is against lowering it. I am quite shocked that there would be two ages. To have such a law in the first place is not about equality at all. I see that as a violations of rights.

This is the problem, to state the obvious, is that religion should have nothing at all to do with politics. There are too many religions and I am going with the notion that there are more open people in society as a whole than the ones who are that religious.

I respect religion and to each their own on that but to force bible on society is just wrong.

Generally they aren't in this country. In fact almost exclusively religion doesn't come into politics here. She's just a right wing fruit cake who has been put in place by an archaic party many of who's followers probably support Theresa May's position.
