North Weald airfield to be exact, to spend the day topping up my sunburn in the company of World War II pilots and aeroplanes. To be honest I'm only really interested in the aeroplanes. I admire the pilots and have huge respect for them and what they did for us, but the sad truth is that octogenarian human males are not as pleasing to the eye as Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs, etc.  It's all in aid of Help for Heroes and the Sydney Camm Trust. Should be a cracking day.  |
