Here's a little summary:
Bill Ayers who was known for bombing federal buildings in the 60's was scheduled to speak at the University of Wyoming next week. This, of course, caused a backlash from the neo-con community and numerous persons threatened to withhold donations if he was to speak. After his speech, Bill Ayers was to hold a televised conference with teachers around the state, in which numerous counties (including Natrona county, which is the county I live in) stated they would not participate. Bill Ayers was a guest speaker on child education, among other things...

And this is part of the reason education in the United States is on a dramatic downturn.

Oh, and there were threats of violence and physical abuse towards Ayers by our wonderful conservative population

Here's a good response to this ridiculous decision the University that represents me came to:

Sorry you feel that way. Maybe the US Marines would be a better educational institution for you and the young lady to study at.

Bill Ayers was a student terrorist and has not renounced those acts yet, even though he was not convicted. You can learn all you want about him right on the internet.

It.s sad our schools are used by and treat the dregs of our society as people to look up to instead of real people that advocate the standards and ideals of America.

Taken from his website:

"William Ayers, Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and founder of both the Small Schools Workshop and the Center for Youth and Society, teaches courses in interpretive and qualitative research, urban school change, and teaching and the modern predicament. A graduate of the University of Michigan, the Bank Street College of Education, Bennington College, and Teachers College, Columbia University, Ayers has written extensively about social justice, democracy and education, the cultural contexts of schooling, and teaching as an essentially intellectual, ethical, and political enterprise. He is currently the vice-president of the curriculum division of the American Educational Research Association, and a member of the executive committee of the UIC Faculty Senate."

So none of these things qualify him to be a guest speaker about education?

Now you might want to go read all the hundreds, maybe thousands of articles that point out the other side of him. As stated in first post of mine, he has not renounced his actions as a terrorist yet.
Do a little research and pay attention to the sites you gather the info from. You, if objective, will discover he has not changed his ideology and the above is more or less sheep's clothing to hide the wolf.

I don't think it has anything to do with Obama, it's about all those Weather Underground bombings he was involved in. What I find ironic is all the people complaining about this protest, yet praising Code Pink disrupting Limbaugh's book signing or Ann Coulter being disrupted in Canada (and the people that complained about those situations yet are praising this Ayers thing).

Then explain why people hated Ayers BEFORE Obama entered politics, or ACORN was even founded. It's because of Ayers just like Code Pink's disruption was because of Limbaugh.

Get them both! Let them debate the future of education!
That would be enough material to keep me going for months!

An Ayers/Limbaugh debate would certainly be entertaining.

Hah, Limbaugh's head would be spinning in rage. I don't think that would be healthy for him.

He'd probably head back to the dressing room and down a whole bottle of oxycontin.

Not a problem.. He can just take a couple dozen oxycontin..
I'm sure that he's still got prescription pads.
