Of course! It all makes sense now! They have oily fur that keeps the water out so they stay warm! Making that much oil, I'm sure they'd have extra to spare! They probably use the extra cash to build extra posh otter homes. The first otter to stumbble upon this scheme totally pimped out his house, and before you know it, everyone had to have the latest otter gadgets! Soon all the otters were selling their extra fur grease for coinage! Before you know it, the standard of living had changed significantly, and no otter would set foot in some plain old rivermud and sticks home, no way! You know how it goes, with neighbors getting competitive...who has the tallest house, whose house has the most encrusted gems...the oil industry had so much oil they didn't know what to do with it all! So they started joint Venturing with automakers, making SUV's and Hummers to drum up sales! Those damn vain otters are responsible for all this pollution!
