People often say that your school years are the best years of your life.. Well they are f***ing lying, least I think they are. I hated school with a passion. However I will say one thing, if I could turn back time I would have tried harder. They might not be the best days of your life but they are the most important, what you achieve now is what you will achieve in the future. Unless you're have an amazing talent.. Or marry someone rich!

I agree, the best years of my life have been the last two and a half. The two and a half years since I left!

It's true but since you have to be there anyway, why not learn something? I found English to be the most useful and math was

So far I have found things I learned in English somewhat useful. Not once have I had to use anything I learned in maths since I was about 10 though.

Well, Mark Twain once advised us to not let schooling get in the way of our education...

I loved School. I loved how all the kids were together. I didn't like the teachers nor the food nor the classes but School was fantastic.

I hate math, but I'm still good at it. I was always top of my class in math, despite my hatred for it

I'm f***ing s*** at math, I don't remember ever having to use Pythagoras' Theorem at any point, nor trigonometry, just piss off I don't NEED THIS!! Teach me math by all means but seriously, when am I ever going to need to find the length of a hypotenuse on a right angled triangle. Gah.

People say that school days are the best of your life... Well I'm not so much inclined to agree there... College maybe. I'm gonna be sad to leave this year.

Never liked Math, never great at it, or rubbish, but also use it constantly.

Had to retake it at GCSE, as I only got a D in the higher papers. When I redid it with the lower ones, I was shocked at just how big a difference there was between the two - passed that without trying

I occasionally have to add things or multiply things, you know things I learned when I was wee. Pretty much everything I learned in maths since I've not ever had to use.

When in every day life do people need to know what Cos is?

Never will I ever see myself using that.

When I brought it up to my teacher once, he said;
"Well what if you're making a triangular garden?"

My response:
"Well, I'd probably go with a square one, but I'm pretty sure the furthest thing from my mind is going to be the length of my gardens hypotenuse."

There isn't one normal thing in my adult life (involving math) that I don't think can't be solved with a standard calculator and/or a measuring stick.
