Mine would be Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. I had to read it for a Pre-AP English class freshman year.

I had to read Jane Eyre for sophomore English in high school, and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed the book. That semester we also read Lord of the Flies, which I also loved. In a fantasy literature class I had, we got to read Good Omens, a remarkable book. Very funny, great story. I've enjoyed most of the assigned books. Most though, is not all.

Boo to . . . wait, I can't even think of one. Wow. That completely blew up in my face.

Oh, I also liked The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

I was going through some really weird stuff in my life when I read that, and it helped me realize that my life wasn't so bad.

I need to read The Bell Jar, especially since I did a research paper on Sylvia Plath a few years ago, but I've just never gotten around to it.

I loved To Kill A Mockingbird, but if you look at some other threads, a lot of people seem to hate it. I don't know why.

Another book I thank God the teacher had us read was Brave New World. Not only was it a good book, but it also opened to door to Aldous Huxley and some other experimental authors. That is the sign of a good teacher, widening the students' minds.

Hey im reading to kill a mockingbird right now! I must agree its pretty sweet. I think its weird that it was the first and last book the Harper Lee ever wrote. Pretty good for a first try...

Think the book (To Kill A MockingBird) caused alot of hype when it was
realised. Harper Lee is a recluse now.
