My girl friend informed me that she caught her father and the next dorr neighbor kissing in her pool. They were drinking and I guess got carried away. I told her it wasn't cheating and not to tell her mom.

If they were drunk it never happened so it wouldn't be cheating

I'd say it was cheating yes. Plus, adults who are kissing people other than their partners rarely stick to kissing i should think.

It was cheating. stay out of it yourself. friend should inform, if was only drink then no harm done, a slap on the wrist will make him more reluctant in future. No way you can believe either party involved tho', lies is lies.

Put it this way, if it was your father kissing another woman who was not your mother would you then consider it cheating or not?

It's easy to ne nonchalant when it does not directly involve you but when put in a more personal context usually the truth of the matter is blaringly obvious.

Just because someone was drunk doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Poor judgment does not equal no responsibility

It's not really up to the daughter to cause grief in her house hold.

If I was ever retarded enough to cheat I hope my son or daughter would be pissed off and brave enough to call me on it if I cheat, not only on my wife but also betray the confidence and trust I hope my children would have in me as there father.

Note to self: Owning swimming pool attracts smoochie next door women and beer.

*shakes head slowly*

If I was a good father I wouldn't need to worry about my daughter telling her mother that I betrayed them both. I wouldn't do it int he first place nor need beatin...

This is misguided guilt if ever I saw it-the only one causing grief to this family is the FATHER who is hurting them all by doing the wrong thing
