Do you have regrets ?
Things could have been different if only times.
Tell us about them please and maybe we can all learn from them.

I did it my way....

Sorry, I love that song. We all have regrets but we can't dwell on the past and most times when we have messed up, it made us who we are today.

One regret is not being able to say goodbye to my dad before he passed on. I was young and we got into a fight. The next thing, he passed on. I regret that.

I have a similar regret.
I didn't go to dads funeral because I knew I would cry and I cant do that in front of anyone ever. Sad but true !

It took me a long time to understand that my father knew I loved him and that one fight before he died was okay. I still have days though where I feel guilty.

About your situation, I know your dad would have understood. It is common for people not to be able to handle it. Sometimes people don't want a coffin to be the last memory. By what you did by not going, your last memory of is him alive and that counts as something.

I understand your regret but you did what you thought best at the time. Your father knows you love him.

I went to the cemetary on my own afterwards in the middle of the night, climbed the fence and couldn't find the grave, i've felt guilty ever since but I cant handle death.

I think it would be saying something that someone miss understood and you never had the chance to straighten out,
You kind of regret that you said anything

Sad that seemingly everyday tiffs only seem to become important when it's to late to put them right.

Yeah, but I needed it when I was 9, I was almost 13 when it was diagnosed and brought under control. As a result, it stunted my growth, ruined my kidneys, ruined my eyes, a lot of crap, not to mention the emotional toll. I've done my share of complaining.

Well you've kept your sense of humour and post good threads, you are nice to people on here but still have a laugh.
Good luck Dan, you are one of the nice guys on forums and you dont meet many.

I have regrets about what I should have said to people and things I should have done but didn't out of cowardice. I also regret letting certain people walk away but I can't be f***ed with the stress of it as much these days.

I try not to regret anything I do. I like to use it as a learning expierence, and never do whatever I did again. Or atleast think about how my actions/words affect different things..
