Is there? Read some of the "arguments" on this thread. My faith in humanity has dropped a little.

That there are bigger problems in the world doesn't answer the question whether it is justifiable or not to burn an animal alive.

This thread is not about ethnic cleansing, or lack of human rights. Those are subjects for other threads.

I think the whole treatment of animals and the environment is really bad, and I hope people get whats coming to them.

Exactly, it doesn't really matter. Because the action and intention of cruelty is still there, species matters not. It's not like the act suddenly vanishes when the animal seems to be "less cute" or even hated.

yeah but my point was people still burn each other alive would you really expect them to treat different species with greater respect than they do each other.......obviously or you faith in the kindness of your fellow man wouldnt be shaken.

Also you strike me as the type of person who values all life and if so you wouldnt agree with the assisted suicide caper ive heard about am i right?

If so then killing the animal is a form of assisted suicide assuming of course burning it is necessary life in all its glory is represented through pain , happiness etc.etc. who are you to deny the rabbit [for example] the sensation of burning alive its the last feeling this animal will ever feel before it disappears and ceases to exist intirely.Granted its not going to be pleasant but its the circle of life like when a lion eats a zebra he doesnt give it death by leathal injection it chews on it.

I didn't click it either. I know we as people can be twisted and cruel.

I don't burn animals alive- I don't think I could.

No. But that's a moot point because burning an animal alive requires the same intent.

So my faith in humanity dropped from 50 to 49. It's not like I'm starting high here. It's a scaling system, ever constantly changing.

Assisted suicide? If it's for things like terminal patients who are suffering and have no hope of survival, then I agree with it. Rather go peacefully than in agony.

Umm... no. That assumption came from no where, and is overridden by the fact that such animals do not comprehend or contemplate suicide. Animals tend to want to avoid death.

What on earth are you blabbering about? It doesn't have to feel all that awful pain in the first place, this is not chance, this is a human choice that is creating it.

Oh what a load of crap.

Don't give me this circle of life bulls***. In the wild the predator and prey happens by chance, it is not a pre-determined setting. The same as getting hit by a lightning bolt - a factor beyond our control. The difference being here is that the human made a conscious decision to burn the animal alive - when he didn't have to. The human had a choice knowing there are other methods at his disposal. Hell, the decision to do something like that had NOTHING to do with survival. Something like a lion doesn't have that luxury, especially when it comes to eating for its own survival. It has no tools, no morals... it does what it only knows. Predation can't be avoided in the wild, but a human burning an animal alive in captivity certainly can!

So, what you are really saying is that humans can do whatever they want to them because the animals in question will end up dead anyway?

There is no good reason to burn an animal while it is alive.

We know ourselves by the way we treat the weaker of us. We are a part of the Animal Kingdom.
