Eric Burns of Media Matters says that Faux News has become a tool for the wacko right and is no longer "no longer a news organization. This is a political organization"

I think he is dead on correct.

On the other hand, they've become almost a caricature of a news media, perhaps so blatantly that they actually undermine their message?
Give them enough rope......?

Silence? How about they just drop the Faux NEWS and have at it with their smear campaign?

Shino, it is more news ABC, CBS or NBC all put together. Talk about biased.

I think the OP is a statement of fact.

There's nothing wrong with opinion, and nothing wrong with a channel dedicated to it. However, calling yourself a news channel when you're clearly a political entity with virtually no non-editorial news content is disingenuous.

Fox News is largely an opinion-based, politically-motivated medium carrying an editorial message.

It is not the same thing. At least the others try to be more honest in their reporting. Faux has never been honest.

Excellent thread though. I just wished TFS had more conservatives. Needs a better balance.

You should also note that I say this as a Libertarian who voted for a Republican candidate in the last Presidential election, so you can't simply write off my opinion as "one of them liberals."

I think that people of all stripes and colors are going to look back and wonder how the hell things got so out of hand and virulent in the primetime smearing of all things presidential. This really is getting old. Some people cannot see thru this? Is it anger that blinds them? Racism? Sheer political opportunism?

Who referred you to anything? I can simply write off your opinion any way I see fit, as you seem to do.
