ANd if it wasn't for my two youngest sisters and the fact that he's trying to turn his family against me, I'd say good riddance. He's been an awfully absent father my whole life and while I have loved him I refuse to commit tax fraud for him. It turned out that his only intent was to steal my money which would essentially make my child's savings account with Royal London nothing more than a gloryfied tax shelter. He stopped paying money into it when I was about 7 and refused to lie to make things a bit easier for him (for those who don't know I'd told my mum that my step-sister had bullied me for as long as I can remember and I finally told me the truth one night when she asked me about my bruises) and had hoped that that would be the end of it. When Royal London got in touch with me at his address he took the letter (illegal) and decided to take the money. He wrote a letter asking that the cheque be in his name instead. He convinced me to sign it, promising that he'd keep it safe so it could continue to grow so it would secure my future.

Unfortunately, that amounts to tax fraud in the eyes of our money-grubbing governmental system. Royal London refused to do it and sent the cheque in my name, and more than likely contacted the fraud squad. I was pretty ignorant of this part of the law until 2 relatives with degrees in finance and working for building societies told me that they'd have to report it (and one of them is having some murderous feelings towards his former best mate [my biological father] at the moment).

So I told him ,Dad, what you want me to do is technically illegal so I want to put that money into an ISA with RBS - and he didn't let me explain the plan. He tried to use emotional blackmail telling me how the money belonged to my step-mum (who wasn't on the scene when he set up the account) and how she'd had plans for it and laughing off the small matter of tax and insurance fraud. THen attempting to use his side of my family against me. When I refused to give in he then told me he never wanted to speak to me again and to delete his phone number.

So I don't care. I've kept him out of jail but the lunatic was mad enough to say enough to me and my mum separately that he basically admitted to attempting to commit tax fraud because he still doesn't believe that what he was doing was illegal. He tried to turn my mum against me and he's changed story at least twice today.

But I honestly don't care anymore. He's spent my whole life as an absentee father, always failing to come through when it mattered and always willing to choose the easier route. I have however written my grandparents a letter with all the details, minus the name of the angry man because he's very angry, and I'm hoping that it's enough to keep the channel open.

In the meantime, I'm trying to find a way to protect my sisters from something like this. I want to start something for them which he will never be able to touch for as long as he lives. I'd also love to be able to physically and emotionally b****-slap him so hard that he never recovers so suggestions are welcome.

The way to protect your sister's is to have your two relatives with degrees in finance look into their child's savings account or ask them to find out who can legally keep an eye on the accounts for them. after a life=time of bending over backwards trying to be the kind of child / person you thought he wanted so he would care and to find out he has been using you in the way he has doesn't go away with the words "But I honestly don't care anymore." Your caring has turned into anger and if you try to ignore that it can cause all sorts or issues with your health and physical and mental . I really hope you have someone that you can talk to when the anger and pain start to push you over the edge. Stay well and keep in mind you have went the extra mile and tried to meet him half way all your life, it is his loss that he missed out on the special joy a child brings to a parents life. You will always have that hurt from his neglect somewhere deep down inside but you can use that as a example of how not to be as an adult and later a parent. Your father and my mother could be twins from the way you describe him .

Thanks. It's nice to get advice from someone who's been through it so thank you. I dunno of my cousin would be so open to any talk of my dad right now but I'll definately ask the other relative. I want to make sure that they have a safety net and it it costs me part of the money I'm getting from my job at the moment then fine.

But as far as I'm concerned I only have one father figure in my life and that's my step-dad, the man who raised me as his own and introduces me to people as his eldest daughter. That's the guy who's my dad. The other guy's just a sperm donor

Don't think I could do that to my sisters. It's bad enough that he's their father

Yeah he's being an a*****e but if I did send him down then they'd lose their house, their dad and probably their dog. I couldn't turn their lives upside down like that

Good, and your step dad knows what the whole thing is about with the sperm donor? if so you then you have the support of a father that will help you put the pain and anger to a positive direction ,thank goodness. my brothers and I always refereed to our mother as the incubator . we had our grand parents in place of our parents when the important joys of growing up along with the rough spots that comes along . Anyone can be a father(sperm donor) but it takes someone special to be a dad. Your sisters are damn lucky they will 'profit' from your experiences and the SD won't be able to try and play his games on them because you will be there to see he can't . You are a special person to be able to see the difference between what is real love and what isn't and not to have let his head and heart games turn you ugly on the inside. Kudos to you !!.
( I have to just say kudos cuz i'm out of them for this day )

I don't know who Jeremy Kyle is ,but that don't matter, I heard that saying I guess all my life and I'm' 99.9% of 50 years old.
If you think about it your sisters will have 100 % protection against the SD's BS games compared to what you had.
Here's another saying
Don't sweat the little things and
Don't pet the sweaty things.
Meaning now that you know first hand the SD's tricks and you know to watch out for that step sister bulling your sisters so your in control like you ain't never been till now. IMO
