Hi guys
Did you read about the newest London plan for reach carbon emissions targets?
Apparently the Mayor of London put together this doc to give all the plans they have that include planting 2 million trees.
I think this will be so cool. London has always been too grey. This is really exciting and he also promises through the efforts tons of new green collar jobs.
But I?ve also noticed that people are saying the ?document? is not great because the mayor isn?t saying how he is planning to get all the funding to implement all the work he has lined up.
Where can I get my hands on this document, or ?report? as they call it? I would like to see what else he is planning?

Haha cutting emissions by planting millions of trees . Least, like you say, it will bring in some colour to London. However I don't think trees are going to cut emissions alone.

If they are offering to improve everyone's insulation - double glazing windows, proper insulation in the rooves etc that would not only benefit the environment, but people's bills!
Do you think we will be seeing the plans in the newspapers?

Haha no way treebee???
I would ask who on earth is interested in stealing trees??

I wonder if they are going to hire some people in to do this whole project? Then they can add to the 'green jobs' target!

Oh my goodness really treebee? I really want to get my hands on that document for myself because I think maybe the media doesn?t like the Mayor either and are only extracting the silly efforts he plans to make.
EmilyO I think double glazing etc is part of his strategy too.
I see the Mayor has a blog maybe there is more on this there as I am sure the doc is still under government scrutiny?
I will still encourage the trees and really hope nobody steals them. Honestly who steels trees?
And I still want all these jobs to be funded somehow because it will be excellent for the capital and will guarantee London jobs to those who have been unemployed.
But where to get the money from?

*whistles to oneself*... I reckon we will all be paying for it with our tax money. Though we have gotten ourselves into this mess so in ways I guess it is only fair that we pay to try and improve the situation instead of leaving it for the generations to come. When I think about it like that it makes me feel better!
As long as the plans are a bit better then planting trees anyway haha!!

I am suprised there isn't a green tax yet. People who drive giant gas guzzling cars etc. It is probably only a matter of time lol!
