NEWCOMER, HELP

hey, i'm 16 and have recently become interested in Art History. I'm from the UK and the college I want to go to doesn't run the course, so I'm going to make it a side project at home. I'm starting looking on the internet and just getting into the first few, more commenly known artists but I'm questioning the reliability. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any informative books that would be helpful, theres a library near me, and I'm willing to buy, as I am dying to find out as much as I can whilst it's still Summer Holidays!

Have you got "The Story of Art" by Ernst Gombrich. If not it's probably one of the best general overviews you can get.
