I make a link to humans.forum otion.com without the space between forum and otion and every time it changes to https://humans.boogity.com/

Test it yourself. In any topic type the word

f o r u m o t i o n

without the spaces and watch it change to boogity when you preview or post it. This doesn't happen on any other forum. So, El_Tino do you have any idea why this is happening?

Because its bad net manners to put a link to other forums on this forum. Tino does not want other forums spammed on this site.

Im not saying you are spamming them, im not accusing you of that, but now and again people join TFS with the sole intention of recruiting people to other forums, which is kind of rude really.

Thank you so much. So, El_Tino has a proxy server sniffing out other forum URLs and rewrites the offending URL with that boogity term? I wasn't trying to recruit anyone away from this forum or spam either. It was just a benign observation that I happened to notice.

Thanks again for the heads up. At first I thought I had a bot on my computer. You rock!

No, that specific site is blocked due to recurrent spam

Cool, thanks for letting me know. How do you get it to rewrite the URL to boogity? Isn't that a term used by Waltrip?

it's a programming thing.

the site looks for some text and replaces it with something else before it gets sent to your screen.
