Hug a Friend

Being from the country where I grew up, Most families know one another,
We tend to get real close with our friends.
Friends that we love very much.They are very important to us.
Not meaning in love with.
We might see them somewhere and hug them hello.
It's something I have grown up with,and means nothing more that caring for a friend.
I know some people dont seem to think it's proper,and it bothers them.
How do you feel about it?

I think that it's a tradition that has suffered too much. I'm sad that I don't hug people nearly as much as I used to

I agree totally. Can't be less appropriate than the kiss kiss hello thing, and I see nothing wrong with that.

I'm all for hugging; our family is big on it! Promotes closeness, and a sense of well being..

I honestly don't understand how anyone can frown on it.

I'm really not a hugger. I don't like to be touched all that m uch tbh.

I hug almost everyone I come in contact with when getting introduced. Business introductions are different. I think that hugging is a good thing. So, here you go Ally

It really depends on who the friend is. A casual acquaintance no, but a good friend yes.

I hug everyone

in 9th grade the first few minutes of lunch was pretty much a hugfest for me & my friends, we'd all say hey and stuff then go about the usual lunch business. And everyone in my family hugs a lot too.

Only hug girls though!
