Im a recreational smoker, I enjoy as I have a stress filled job and it helps me relax every once in a while. I have rarely seen a post on TFS saying its ok, its much more common to find"Its really bad". All smokers seem to be percieved as drugged up hippies who never stop. Also its seems that Weed just being weed is what causes people to become addicted, thats just removing accountability from people, I have never been told or told anyone to smoke. If they want it, I'll pass it along, if they start to depend on it, doesnt that just show there lack of willpower. Anyway, what I want to know is, what do you people think about weed? I dont want to hear Drugs are bad MMmmkay, please explain your answer.

Drugs are just bad.
Just kidding
My personal opinion is that for people who can use it recreationally and responsibly it's fine.
For those who can't and begin to use it heavily, it causes a world of problems for them.
You don't really know whether you'll become addicted to it until you start to use it recreationally.
The laws against weed are a bit useless, because people who really want to smoke it will do it anyway. For someone like me who has tried it and didn't like it, & is a bit of a square anyway, the fact that it's illegal is more of a deterrent.

Likewise, its much more peaceful, less messy, and Ive never thrown up because I smoked too much.

Then you havent ever been propper mashed!

Ahem, anyway.
I have smoked it, it was great, then I saw someone who was addicted to it, and it made me stop for good. Saying 'its just a lack of willpower' so people getting addicted is their own fault is ok, but they still get addicted and it still controls lives.

I know that, but im not going to avoid somthing that I enjoy doing because theres a chance of addiction. I feel no desperate urge to smoke, I merely like doing it. I still cant see why its illegal, if it was a monitored substance, id be ok with that, at least there would be some control over it, the MAN could even subsidies it to undercut the dealers. But when I hear people going mad about how bad it is, without giving a reason just angers me, time to smoke..

One of the most common reasons people stop smoking weed altogether is paranoia/nasty mood swings.
I have 2 family members who gave it away because it was just screwing both their lives up. Excessive marijuana use has been documented in casenotes of many patients with schizophrenia.
The truth is that ciggerettes cause cancer, and alcohol can lead to domestic violence and road accidents. I wouldn't buy weed and smoke it, but I understand why people do, what they enjoy about it and how they justify it.
There is a theory that trying weed can lead to experimentation with other, harder drugs. I honestly don't know how much truth there is to that.

what do i think about weed? Ummm it affects everyone differently. Like anything if used now and again wont cause any harm. If used all the time you are in danger of listening to the dark side of the moon and watching the wizard of Oz and then telling people for the next 15 years how great it was.

I don't see what the big deal with it is....
Legalize it and tax it just like a tobacco product...
you are never going to get rid of it , so why not take it out of the criminals hands and help the country by regulating it just like any other product sold in the world...
I have never heard of anyone that OD on weed...
maybe that's what the world needs to mellow them out....
