How did you fall in love with your favorite music?

For me, my love of classic rock started a couple years ago when I played GTA San Andreas. I used to always listen to Radio X on there, but then I switched to K-DST (The Dust) and the music was phenomenal. For you non-believers, classic rock is also great travelling music.

In real life, whenever I listen to radio, my fav station is 99.1 FM, the Fox, which is also a classic rock station, but with more variety than the one on San Andreas.

I think my love of classic rock started before I was even aware of it. My parents listened to it all the time (although it wasn't "classic" then) so I absorbed it all. I knew I truly loved it though when my friends and I would ditch class and go drive around the back roads, listen to Led Zeppelin, and pass the J back and forth.

Ah, memories.

Ever since I was little I've pretty much always loved alternative music. Although I was also a fan of the Spice Girls and B Witched, apparently when I was a toddler I used to sing Placebo and Radiohead songs at the top of my lungs, bet the neighbours loved that. I kind of absorbed some of the musical taste of my parents and then began to discover my own taste in music through much Myspace surfing and Last.fm searches.

I also note down and find any music that I hear on some of my favourite TV shows and see what they're like, so I guess that influences my taste as well.

I fell in love with Ska when they mixed brass and guitar.
