Not horrible at all. I can only take some people in small bits. Seems pretty normal!

Oh how was the anniversary?

Kurt adn I even had a mini fight in front of them. I swear it was teh stress of having people in the house for too long. In retrospect it's funny. These are the kind of people that don't voice opinions and avoid conflict and there I am shouting and challenging. In one way it was good. They saw the fight and the resolution and the hugs and kisses that followed. Totally foreign to them.

I don't really have in-laws, my husband has pretty much disowned his entire family. So now he just has my crazy family to deal with.

How did you deal with one being sick?

My in-laws-to-be [one day] are awesome. We go up to kyahbean's dad's house in the woods in VT every few weeks for hot wings, games, and the most delicious bacon you'll ever eat.

And her step dad taught me to ride her mom's Harley 2 years ago. Not much else needs to be said about them

I know and I envy the relationship and the location! The inlaws are nice people, but they are soooooooooo different and it's not in a comfy way. How about your people with Kyah? Same goodness? K and I do fine with my side. Seems like it's often that way...able to enjoy one side or the other rather than both.

They love her to death, and she thinks they're highly amusing. They're New Orleans folk.. all easy going hedonists with funny accents. What's not to love?

You two are so lucky to have inlaws you enjoy on both sides. His parents like me, but meh...I can't get excited about them. Maybe I'm just terrible. Probably.

I know the feeling. My father-in-law visited for Thanksgiving and xmas some years back I could not wait for him to get out. And at the time our apartment had only one bedroom so he slept on the livingroom floor on a twin blowup mattress. We also had one bathroom and he walked in on me. HELLO THE DOOR IS CLOSED I do believe you are supposed to knock when a door is shut. Luckily I was zipping up my jeans so nothing was exposed. I think it is ok to be happy even if they are good people. It is an invasion in your home which changes how you do things and is nice to get back to your routines.

Ahhhhhhhh! That sounds much worse than what I had to deal with. At least we could get out of each other's way a bit and we have 2 bathrooms, thank God!
