well, i think that when u point ur focus towards the plane (first one) u should have ur character move, other wise the whole animation becomes "limited animation". what i mean by that is using holds to cut down ur animation. also, i would say that ur hook-ups need a little work, because ur timing is a little off. good thing about is that ur character is simple yet complex. now, i'm not going to talk about the second one because there's no actual story. sure things r moving, but the goal of an animator is to tell a story with moving pictures to simulate the imagery. i don't want to be mean, but animation still needs work. but i'm surprised how ur choice of camera position/movements worked for ur first animation but slightly damaged ur second animation. my advice to u is keep working on ur animation, if u need any help, i'd be more than happy to assist u. I am an animation students at one of the most successful art schools in california. hope that builds my credibility. good work!
