Yeah I dread public speaking in school. Whenever I hear the word "Presentation" my heart beats really fast. I also dread reading to the class. I found out that my fear comes from the fact that I don't want people picking on my voice as I read. This goes along with the race issue because I notice that the ones to always pick on my voice are other black people. let me explain, sometimes when I talk my voice doesn't sound "masculine" enough and it's always a black person to say "Are you gay? HAHA!". I mean seriously, it's always the gangster or thug types to say it too. Why do they always have to call so many things gay? If I talk like a normal person is suppose to talk and not saying things like " What up b****! I be baggin them hoes" does that make me gay? Seriously sometimes I think they are always calling things gay because they might be gay themselves. Damn.............
Hi man! Unfortunately for a lot of people your age there is bullying going on, just goes with being a teen I guess.
If there is one *major* tip about doing a presentation, it is to be confident.
It may sound really hard but if you worry about being bad, you're gonna be bad! Just take it as it comes man
Oh and if you can, try and turn your anxiety into happiness! I'm not sure how to say that but when I get up and teach (I'm training to be a teacher!) I am very nervous but the way I funnel that nervousness is into smiling, being social and being funny!
Once you grab the attention of the audience it'll all go well! and don't worry if the bullies call you names, unfortunately no matter what you do they will call you names - They do that because they are insecure of themselves, picking on other people is their way of reassuring themselves that they are 'better'
In the long run their way of thinking is going to drag them down, they will not get a good job and their life is not going to be as good as it could.
Keep up the good fight bro! Be confident!!! you got nothing to lose!
