Just started playing guitar

I've got an eletric guitar for my birthday, and have severl books & CD's on learning the basics, getting into them atm.




I can play the start of Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water, and some bands Sunshine Of Your Love.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything pretty easy for a beginner?

I can do some chords, but tabs are easier I reckon.#

Note, I've only had it for 6 days! Total beginner here.

Any websites that help would be useful too

One tip, learn guitar theory early!
I made the mistake of leaving it very late in my learning time. Now, I'm really behind.

You should be able to learn chords from tabs. Once, you get tab reading down, your golden.

A final point, stick with it! Guitar can get frustrating a lot. Lots of practise is the key.
