Back in the days with the commodore, spectrum, Nes, Megadrive etc....the graphics may have not been as good as they are now but the game play was fantastic...

Frogger, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage,Dig Dug....these games give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside..

Sonic the Hedgehog fanboy all the way... Except for now, because now it's starting to get retarded.

The Mario games were amazing and incredibly tough. I personally have a lot of SNES games, which I love, and I also used to own an Atari and pretty close to all of the games ever made for it, so I'm big on retro games too.
Right now on the SNES I'm working through the first Zelda (which is also really tough), Earthbound (probably one of the best games ever) and of course I'm still playing my Street Fighter. Oh yeah.
And the original Final Fantasy for the NES, even though it doesn't have that trademark soundtrack, but it's still awesome. Woot for airships!!!

Yeah it f*cking rocks, and they're gonna come out with 4 (if they quit bumping up the release date) the end of this year (31st December). I'm really excited. Supposedly, also, they're testing it out in arcades in Japan and trying out some new characters that will be included. Don't know how I feel about that, but it's still cool.

Does anyone remember a game where you were a little pink blobby thing and you had to float over blue squares and you turned them pink as you went. You collected things and killed baddies. I think it was a commodore game? I loved it but I can't remember the name and just remember a little bit about it.

...also anyone remember Rogue - its dead old!

I tried looking for your pink blob game. Sorry no luck. Most of the games yall suggested I've never heard of.

But the one game I do remember, was the annoying Zaxxon. We had it on coleco. It's a really cool feeling game and it's probably one of the reasons I'm a fan of the WipeOut series, but it's a really hard game. It's like trying to dodge columns, jump over logs, and kill enemies all at the same time from a side perspective. Sheesh.
