Why is it if you don't see Obama as the second coming of the Messiah, you are then automatically labled a Republican? If I say one word against Obama, it's assumed I'm a McCain fan. I was under the impression I had the right to be totally unimpressed by either candidate.

Yes, if I dislike McCain someone will lable me a defender of Obama. It's goofy and I'm sick of it.

What? I see Obama as good, (or better than what the USA has now) -- but the first or second coming of the messiah -- is a stretch.

Why is it we have to talk in superlatives in order to make a point? What is your point?

You don't like being labeled? Neither do I. On that we agree.

I was talking my friends parents Saturday night - they apparently are uber republicans and when I didn't agree that Palin was the most wonderful thing that could ever happen to our country I recieved a lecture on Obama and how horrible he is.
Finally when I could get a word in I explained to them that I didn't like either candidate and while I am not a republican that doesn't make me a democrat either.

My point was basic and simple--- Just because I don't care for Obama, doesn't mean I'm a fan of McCain.

Ok, if I am following this correctly?

JuanSmith is neither the antichrist nor the messiah; and
Obama is neither the antichrist nor the messiah.

Now I am really f___ing confussed.

This has got to be Ross Perot?s fault, the scrawny little...

On the other hand, just because someone says something about a Republican in reply to one of your posts, that does not imply that they think you are a republican. The statement might be made for the benefit of everyone reading, not just you. It would seem you might be a little bit touchy on the matter for some reason.

Not touchy, just over it. This post wasn't directed at you alone. I get this on or offline...whether it's someone thinking I'm a Rep. for disliking Obama or someone thinking I'm a Dem for disliking McCain. It gets tiresome.
