Can you understand Chinese culture and ideas from the Olympic ceremony?

I think personally the 29th Olympic ceremony is so beautiful
and wonderful. It is the greatest ceremony so far in Olympic history. Sounds, lights, pictures,
figures, all of these show so pretty scenes of Chinese long history and rich culture in the
ceremony. Especilly, Chinese cultures are exhibited through the perfect performances. Peace
and desiring for modernization are the themes of the ceremony. I was drunk in the
ceremony. I love it so much. Maybe no one can be over it in a not far future. China is rising
up. We have to regard China more than ever.

being a beautiful opening ceremony doesn't really justify spending all that money on it though, especially when so many people in china live in poverty.
