I have a friend that I talk to quite a bit.

But he likes me, and he makes it really obvious that he likes me. He makes loads of references about wanting to have sex with me and other crap like that

He's always complimenting me and it was alright at first but now it's just plain annoying.

I don't want to have to tell him to f*** off but sometimes I feel like it

Should I be flattered?

How can I tell him that I'm not interested in him, without being too harsh?

When he starts making comments to you, Laura...that's when you tell him. There's no need for you to try to bring it up, since it seems that he will make some comment on his own.

The next time he makes a reference to you about sex or something of the nature bring it up at that point. When he gives an opening, take that opportunity to say something to him.

yes but the downside to humor is the fact that the other person may think you are joking. You can't joke around with someone and expect them to believe you.

I had this problem too, a guy I worked with done the same and I saw him more as a friend than anything else.
It ended up that he tried to kiss me one night and I pushed him away - we fell out over it all and I'm now dating a mutual friend and he still doesn't talk to me and work is a nightmare.
I definitly agree you have to tell him before he makes a move and it ruins a friendship - even if you just talk to him about a guy you like and make loads of hints as to how you love talking to him as a friend, and much you love having him as a friend and stuff.

Good luck with it sweety, I know how hard it cane be, I just wish I didn't chicken out.
