ok everyone, here it is.

Mac or PC?

my opinion:
windows is root of all evil. They can't even make a operating system that works. Macs rule.
Easier to use. Faster, better, cooler in every way, the only problem is a lot of game companies
think it's to expensive to port to macs.

Windows XP is a killer OS IMO. Quick, ridiculously stable, simple, etc etc.

Mac OS X is nice too. They're not faster than the fastest PC's in my experience. They're sure as s*** cooler.. not so sure about better.

The big downside to Macs is.. well, Apple. They're a top to bottom company.. everything is Apple. You need their hardware, their software, etc etc... and they're a hell of a lot more expensive.

hey, you get what you pay for. My new comp has never crashed and never had a
virus. I've had it for about 3 months. Plus spyware doesn't exist for macs. I love
it

I've owned windows pc's exclusively for 8 years.. I haven't had a system crash since I upgraded to Windows XP...

I also run a very large network, and have never seen a system crash on Windows XP at all. Poorly written programs sometimes crash, but I've never seen one take the OS down.

BTW, I've never had a virus.. and spyware does exist for the macintosh, it's just not as common

Like I said though, I love Macs and I love the hardware.. but it does have its downsides.

while.

There's no secret.. XP is rock stable.

Some poorly written drivers (graphics drivers particularly) can crash and basically disable the system. However, at work and at home the machines typically get uptime measured in weeks (that is, until we started implementing automatic nightly shutdown scripts to save power).

XP never crashes on me. Badly written or buggy drivers can break the system on Windows, just like they can (and do) on Macs.

And sometimes programs crash, but they never take the system down.

oh, ok, I've neverr had a driver or program crash my new system. that's all I'm
saying.

I've crashed Mac OS X systems a few times. Traced it back to conflicts in audio and video drivers.

*shrug*

As for "the innovator," I'm not quite sure where you get that. They've innovated quite a bit, sure, particularly in the user interface realm, but beyond that I'm not sure what they've done. They make pretty boxes, but then fill them with off the shelf components from other manufacturers.

well, the cool new look is something they've started, but that's no too important.
Basically they've made it esierr for the user. I dig the new mouse. Especially the
2D scroll ball. But they've done other stuff too. Like, they were the first ones to
use a trackpad.
