end the illegal war. anyone that doesn't is contributing substantially to war crimes. hence i'm not voting for mccain or hillary, who supported it.
end torture. anyone that doesn't either is a war criminal or deserves to be called one. why i like mccain and i'm not voting for hillary or obama, they give little indication they take it seriously, and i'm used to (and tired of) seeing allegedly-left-wing politicians lay down on important issues.
cease to be the last 1st-world country without a real health care system, before we become a 3rd-world country. people b**** about nhs, but laying a finger on it would ruin any politician in the uk, because politics actually matter there, it's not a high school contest for popularity.
and you know what i would say to people that took issue with any of the above? "f*** you." it's not like we haven't heard as much for 8 years, and almost no one complained about it. i know, i was looking for the people that did. people just sit down and shut up, i might as well run the country properly while they're watching television.
another thing i would do would be to set up the best committee on the planet for figuring out how the hell to have a global economy without screwing over a. every worker that was born here and, b. every immigrant (let's start with canada, since this country seems to hate mexicans so much...) that comes here under the absolute lie of "nafta," saying it's going to free up trade and employment. obviously the most important ways in which nafta could help are exceptions. it's the biggest double standard we have next to "freedom" itself.
oh, oh, and, i would bring back THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, without using that as a teaser to make it illegal to be gay like the so-called constitution party, which is a bunch of far-right bible-pounding nutjobs who wouldn't know the first amendment if it it was shoved up their ass.
but to be perfectly honest i don't have time to be your president, i'm trying to flee you nutters. you can't blame me for that. so i hope as much as most of the country does that obama turns the country around. i don't actually hate america. i pity it.
the one that would finally get me killed by the way, would be when i actually enforced the laws we already have against monopolies. i'd be a hero to the doj, and to the small businessman, while i was around. but freedom isn't about standing up for the little guy, no of course not. if you look around, it's obviously something much different than that. no one gives a s*** about the little guy, not even the little guy gives a s*** about him.
i've stood alone on any number of occasions, waiting to see if anyone else stands. i have to say this is a country of people sitting down and being quiet. it's a country where superficiality reigns. you don't deserve what you get, but you don't do anything about it, either. you deserve better, but you'll probably have to stand up for it anyway.
good luck.
