"From Berlin to London to Jakarta, the destinies of Democratic and Republican contenders in Iowa or New Hampshire, or Nevada or South Carolina, have become home-town news in a way that most political commentators cannot recall. It is as if outsiders are pining for change in America as much as some American would-be presidential candidates are promising it."

But then what would left leaning NY Times newspaper have to write about when President Bush leaves
I'm sorry I feel that anything that comes out of that paper is not fit to line my kitty pans

What else would you expect the NYTimes to say. Funny how they failed to report the opposite, because there ia another side.

your right I should have expected no less of them.

Now that is fair and I bet that's would be all he would ask for.

Like Bush if Hillary win (finger crossed) i'll respect her position as president as well.

It has got to be a difficult job and a president faces pressures most of us will never know!

Well, good for you. She's cold-hearted and ambitious, and I'm sorry I can't respect someone like that.

and yes even if (God forbid) Hillary does win I will respect her as President and stand behind her also.

I may not like what they say or do but as an American I can respect my President and still vote to change things from the inside starting at a city or state level and working my way up

OH HAY GUYZ LETS TALK ABOOT HILARI IN A THREAD ABOUT BUSH!

No really, this man barely knows what he's talking about half the time he's adressing the nation.

I'm not going to be sad to see him go. Maybe this'll the end of our own Goldstein campaign.

All I can say is I feel no inclination to respect the President of the United States unless they earn my respect (by being fair and just, and respecting the Constitution and Bill of Rights), if they're full of that political double-talk then I will not stand by them, I'd sooner defect to a more just candidate/leader.

Show me an article from ANY newspaper that says the rest of the world wants Bush to stay in office. I dare you.

Most of them if not all are full of political double-talk, so you have a problem.

Well, put youself in his place and vision the world listening to ever word you say, the media ready to pounch on ever word, the members of the other party ready to argue your ever word.

Put yourself in his shoes and rezlize that a wrong word here or there maube be taken wrong and an issues raises. You know when Teddy Kennedy talks he often has problems, yet you do not mention anyone but the president

Ask yourself, would I do any better?

I admire Bush, he's doing the best he can and no one is ever happy with him. Sure, I don't agree with everything he says, but at least he's honest and a nice guy.
