I love Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat), but A-Rod is fast becoming my all-time favorite player.
I was livid at his decision to opt out of his 10-year, $252 million dollar contract with the Yanks, but all is cool since he went crawling back to the Bronx Bombers and received 26 first-place votes and 382 points for the Award. A-Rod previously won the AL MVP in 2003 and 2005.

Alexander the Great is the fastest player to reach the 500 home runs milestone and is the first player since the great Roger Maris in 1961 to lead all of baseball in home runs, RBI and runs. A-Rod has made it perfectly clear that he wants to get to the World Series and win it.
He went a horrendous 4-for-15 against Cleveland in the ALDS. Since 2004 he is a horrid 8-for-59. The Yankees eased some of his frustration by getting Posada and Rivera to sign new contracts.
2008 will be huge: Joe Girardi will crack the whip. The slew of young arms are ready for breakout years. Bobby Abreu is back. They are asking about Johan Santana. And Andy Pettitte is still pondering whether to accept the $16 million dollar option for next year.
A-Rod had a monster 2007. It's now time to look forward to the signing of a brand new contract and talks of a 27th World Series Championship.
